Obanikoro promises to liberate Lagos from Tinubu’s political bondage

2014-10-21 12:16 Lagos - Former Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro has said he resigned his appointment to contest the 2015 Lagos State governorship election in order to liberate Lagos from bondage, reports Daily Post.
Obanikoro, who tendered his resignation letter on Monday, noted that the reason why he decided to join the guber race was the need to rescue the state from the stranglehold of the former governor of the state, Bola Tinubu, who has converted the state resources into his personal estate.
He acknowledged that Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola, had done fairly well but noted that governing the state could be taken to a higher level considering the resources available to the state.
The former minister will be seeking to contest the election under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
