APC will free Nigeria from corruption, insecurity -Buhari

The Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has said his administration will do everything to free Nigeria from the cycle of corruption, unemployment and insecurity. Buhari said this on Wednesday at the presidential campaign of the APC held at the Osogbo City Stadium. The rally, which was billed to hold around 10am, did not start until around 5:45pm when Buhari led other chieftains of the party to the stadium. Surprisingly the crowd refused to leave the venue despite the hours of delay. Buhari said, “Nigeria is under the shackles of corruption, unemployment and insecurity. We are determined to break the vicious cycle.” The former military Head-of-State said that his administration would use agriculture and mining to address the problem of unemployment which he said would reduce crime in the country. The presidential candidate of the leading opposition party thanked the people of the state for their dodged support for the APC, saying they showed the loyalty to the party with their support for Governor Rauf Aregbesola during the August 9 governorship election. The National Chairman of the APC, Chief John Oyegun, in his short speech associated the Peoples Democratic Party to bad governance, insecurity and corruption. He described Buhari as a man of courage and integrity who could see where others could not see anything. He urged the people of Osun State and entire Nigerians, irrespective of religion and ethnic leaning, to reject the PDP at the February elections.
